Sum- Katie Erickson

This is my interpretation of an info graphic for Sum. The analytical side to the left comprises of all the durations one has to go through during the afterlife. The latter half (right side) is the last paragraph. I wanted it be more free-flowing and literally have more life to it, since it is describing what it is like to live in a world of jumps and hops from one event to the next.

Hey

I really like how you laid out your typography on the circular part of the diagram. The way you separated everything by years, months, weeks, etc. I'm curious though as to why you chose rosewood(is that the typeface it is?) as your primary typeface because it has a very western feel to it. Also something else that bothers me is that your right side of the piece that has the last paragraph in it, seems so separate from the left side. You can almost cut down the middle of the entire piece and it would 2 separate pieces. I would try and think about you can unify the two so it looks like one piece. but overall I like how its laid out, the way you designed the typography makes it come alive.

Hi Katie and Ben,

Katie, it is a very good piece of yours. I totally agree with Ben's reaction—too compositions. They are opposite enough to each other to be connected like a magnet. Left side is stronger compositionally.
Color will help as soon as you make too compositions relate to each other.
