End Game

concept is how the characters in this play are all stuck in this one place, room, trash can, and conversation. while reading the book i felt very stuck and depressed. please let me know what you think, thanks!

Your first cover is the best. "Endgame" actually feels as if its stuck in place from the strings. I feel as if maybe you can do something similar with "samuel beckett" too cause that part doesn't seem resolved just yet.
Your second one still friendly, nearly playful due to the typeface and placement for samuel beckett, which fights your image for endgame.

hope that helps

Caryn, excellent analysis!

I agree that the first one is better. I like the jacket more. I wish there would be a different typeface for the author. Feels too close to the title. Proportions are better on the jacket. I was wondering if you could twist your rope around the guidelines.
And also, I would like to see the opposite: what if you try to enlarge your title immensely (from the ceiling to the floor and hook your rope structure to that type.

My two cents.
