Happy Days

Ryan Park - These are my posters for Happy days. My concept is about "CONFUSION." I mostly tried to use any objects or games which are normally confusing from daily life.
Poster 1 - I overlaped same words repeatly. It creates confusion by reading properly. I tried to focus on two different colors and the overlaped part.
Poster 2 - I used an illustrated image of labyrinth which creates a confusion. The message is about that you need to experience all the confusion to reach to understand what happy days truly means, in the end.
Poster 3 - I used jigsaw puzzle image. You need to figure out and match all the confusing puzzle pieces to get (understand) the word, happy days.
Poster 4 - I tried to make an confusing illusion out of the name of title and the writer. I tried to make it look like few random shaped blocks, and when you take a closer look, you can see the word "happy days" and "Samuel Beckett" in negative sapce, which creates a confusion.

I personally prefer to use poster 1, and 2. Please give me some suggestions and solutions

Hi Ryan, I agree with you—#1 one is the most sophisticated one. I would like to see several variations of this composition. I like the color palette and the typeface, but I would like to see it with different typefaces.

Confusion... who is confused, what is confusing, is there possible resolution of this confusing state, was this confusion created on purpose, if yes—why ...? Thinking about these questions will prevent you from falling into a cliché solutions—(#2 and #3)

While refining your cover, you definitely can work on your jacket, title pages, casting, and first 2 spreads.

Have fun.

I would use your color combination in in the first poster and apply it to the second. I would also recommend moving the authors name to the bottom right corner about the fifth line up. Then it would be dope. Other then that I dig these.
