book cover

I tried to show the feeling I had before reading the play
I was expecting something happy story with the title 'happy days'
So, I took the letter 'W' from Winnie&Willie and made pattern out of it
I tried to make a pattern that has a warm and happy kind of feeling
For typeface, I used 'the serif'

Thanks!!!!!

Woosung, I really like your idea of W and W. Both covers have a great potential.

The first cover looks like an old wallpaper fro "the happy days"—makes total sense! I wish you took the whole cover and "weather it" as if it was exposed to the sun and was partially gently bleached out. Typography for the title and the author could've been better. Needs some work—typefaces choice, position on a page, color.

#2 cover doesn't look like a cover yet. That was my criticism in class. The pattern doesn't give us a chance to appreciate your idea of W and W. If you didn't explain it, I wouldn't understand. I recommend instead of working on the patter for the second cover, create several "logos" representing W and W in different typefaces. Could be two different typefaces as two different voices, characters, or gender... Only then, you can begin to work on the title and the author.
