im not too sure about the homoscan one.. seems a little sexual.. I dont wanna go there, but in today's world, that prefix has it's attachments. i like the scan part tho.
what about:
somaSCAN --> somatic cells are any type of cells that form within an organism
i think it just needs something more mysterious. maybe you can play around with alternate options.

Thank you, I didn't think about sexual direction— more of a "homo-sapience" ala-scentific. Valid point, Dale.
Somo is an interesting idea, but it becomes not so much mysterious, but too scientific, too complex for a very simple thing— a special patch that defines your medical condition at this very moment.
What do you think?

Hmm, since this is a patch maybe it would be good to include a word that signifies a patch? some synonyms I found are: application, appliqué, Band-Aid, mend, reinforcement
maybe a name with "app" would be something to consider, since it signifies a program and something you apply.
