I fell like the alignment of the title face of all the faces is off
it is aligned with the bottom of type designer because when it was aligned with patrick griffin, further up there was too much negative space between the title and body copy

Christian Wednesday

I re-did my poster to the top one. The bottom one wasn't the right size, and was too dependent on typography and the assignment stated otherwise. Any feedback would be great. Should I print out the top one since its closer to the actual assignment?

PINOCCHIO

This is very last minute but i'm still hammering out the details on my posters and i need some feed back on them still. The one on the left is what i started and i evolved it to the one on the right, the point is to have the nose come down but have the viewer also recognize that it's a tree. I've been told adding some leaves to the type and to the bottom of where the green falls will help to make it look like a better tree. is there any other things i should do to make the character look like a tree and still have it as a person with a long nose?

Is there anything I should change? Three rows representing the three different things that happen in the story. She never likes the first 2 and always chooses the 3rd. Makes sense?

      For your final presentation you should bring the following:

1.  Visual Music project Book:  book or artist book, or installation format. 

     CD/DVD with the music should be included in the package.  

     Bring your initial accordeon Visual music piece and all the revisions

     *  Extra-credit for a written artist statement about your project, concept, and process.

        Make sure that your song works on the computer in class!

2.  Brochure/banner about a type-designer—

     printed on a card stock or two sheets pasted neatly to each other, 

     but it must be very clean and professionally looking.

3.  Semiotic poster.

    Printed as one piece (not tiled) 18"x24" mounted neatly on white foam board

    and trimmed to the size of the poster (18x24).

***4. DVD with hi-res PDF of all your work from this semester.

               DVD should include hi-res only PDF files  (NO Illustrator,  NO InDesign formats) 

               of everything listed above and photographic documentation of your 3D work 

              (books and brochures) from multiple angles and vantage points. Photographs 

               should be taken on a white surface with white wall or paper

               behind your piece with strong light in the room.

              This DVD is extremely important to your grade. 

              If you forget your DVD, your work will not be graded.

              

                 

    *bring pins  and tape to exhibit your work

         *Presentation counts.

            

              Come 10 minutes before the class to put your works on the wall. Lateness is not accepted.

              Please express your respect your peers, your teacher, a guest lecturer/critic, and yourself

              by coming on time on our last day of the semester.

            I usually invite guests critics and former students to the last class, You are welcome to come

            to the other class to see what other students were able to accomplish.
