Cherry Orchard Posters

Eddy here. Here are some of my Cherry Orchard poster designs that I adjusted upon request. Not to sure about the turnout, but I wanted to see what you guys think of them.

Individual Meetings this week

Dear all,

This week we will have individual meetings. 
Be punctual and control your time.

 You need 

1. to print all your versions letter size, those that are very important in color should be in color and we will have our individual little session to finalize everything.

2. to bring 3 11x17 papers with 3 pages on them:  the characters list and one left and one right page of the text using two different typefaces. 

Why I ask 3 papers is because I want you to make an educated decision about the typefaces you've chosen.

For example, #1 paper  —Futura and Garamond 

                    #1 paper— Univers and trade Gothic

                    #1 paper—Chelteham and Didot. All this combinations are not real—just as an example) 

You must type the names of the typefaces you use on each paper.

Be aware of the margins of the page.  Different typefaces 

will dictate different type size for the text and different leading. 

Check how dense or open should be your text— 

it will be a particular combination of typeface, type size, letterspacing, and leading .

i have a question about teh style of the text of Electra.
the original text on the book that Olga gave us has strange line changing.
i mean it goues:
     This is old Argos of your yearning, the grove (change the line)
     of Inachus' gadfly-haunted daughter.
not:
     This is old Argos of your yearning, the grove of Inachus' gadfly-haunted daughter.
because of the Greek writing style or something? idk.

do we have to keep this style of changing lines?

Hey guys, this is Eddy. This is my invention idea called I TUNE U OUT. Here are some mock ups. Nothing is final, but some input on what works and what doesn't would be great. Thank you!

Wed class-the cherry orchard posters by Byeolyi Jin

What I want to focus on the play was the social change in Russia at the turn of the 20th century.
It is the rise of the lower class in Russia after the abolition of serfdom in the mid-19th century and the sinking of the aristocracy.
The play reflects this historical and social change well by using the cherry orchard.
Mrs. Ranevsky doesn't recognize her situation and has to sell her cherry orchard which was her property for living. It portrays that sinking of the aristocracy.
At the end, Lopakhin, who has the bad memories of the brutality of a peasant child's life, bought Mrs. Ranevsky's cherry orchard. It portrays the rise of the lower class.

To me, this story gave me the image that the fallen tower.
Like lego tower top and the top of its is fallen and remains bottom of it.

Give me your advice.

Jungmin from wednesday class-baby bottle project/junior

This is Jungmin from Wednesday class. 

My product is Baby Bottle which changes the color when it became a right temperature.

-Concept

This book has two functions on it, for babies and parents. Mothers pretended to read books for their babies even though they aren’t capable to read text yet. For saving money, I put the babies books together, , when parents bought this book. I called “My First Color” book for the babies that has related with YumYum baby bottles. And it has the contents related with feeding bottle with vivid color and onomatopoeia. One side for babies and the othe one is for mothers. Also I tried to emphasize the uniqueness of the products by covering the book with the photo of baby bottle.

-Company Name : YumYum

-Why YumYum? 

  A right temperature of milk is the tastiest milk. This bottle helps to notice right temperature for babies.

Logos for Dreamtap by Eva (Junior Type Class)

Hi, this is Eva from Thursday class.

I have some logos for my first project and having a hard time to choose one.

I hope you guys can help me.  

Dreamtap is a device that lets you explore your imagination in a dream. 

You may select an mp3 of your choice that may consist of music, audio books, 

recorded and ambient sounds. These sounds will influence your dream 

through your neuron waves. DreamTap will also induce sleep when worn so it 

is a cure for insomnia and nightmares. Also, it will also bring a more pleasant 

tomorrow because of the deep sleep and adventurous dream. The philosophy 

of DreamTap is to bring a better world by maintaining happiness within everyone.

These are my logos so far. I like the first one the most.
