Medea Poster

Hey guys, this is Matt. I have experimented with type on an angle for this one poster. What do you guys think? I feel that it does in fact work better like this, but I am unsure as to which direction to go from here. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey Matt,
I like the 2nd and the 3rd one.
the 3rd one i think the type might be a little too close to the hand. and it takes away from the knife- i liked the 3rd one because it looks sly, and secretive and the type shows movement with the fabric.

the 2nd one i like as well, i feel the type is a bit too sharp as far as the angle. . . because the image has a lot of curves, im not to sure.

i really like this poster im between the 2nd and the 3rd one, i like them both

Hi Matt,

I think that #2 is very close to your final solution. The decision to go diagonally across your poster, across the complexity and organic "liquid-like" nature of your image is grand! It emphasizes the power of the sly (as Jonelle said) power of the knife against the the drapery.
I also agree with Jonelle on the size of the type. I would play much more aggressively with the title. It might surprise you because before you tried to hide it, now you have nothing to hide anymore. Play with different variations of the size. Find first MEDEA, and only after that, add other elements. Please don't place Public theater in the corner or else nobody will go there to see the play, expecting to be killed by the knife : )

Congratulations on major shift in your composition!
