Flaps and a Back Ad of the book

Answering your questions.

Look at any hard cover literature book and notice that

Front flap— a mini-description of a book, 

Back flap i— a photo (if available) and info about the author, 

bottom of the Back flap—Designed by.... you

Illustration by or photography by...

and the info about the publishing house

(logo, name and address)

Back Ad—Praise for this book. 

You can simply copy this info from a different book of the same author and replace the title with the title of your book.

Just try to design it as if it was a real book, but keep the identity of your design.

Individual Meeting 25 min. at the computer lab

Dear all, 

This week I am going to give each of you 25 min. Obviously, I will not fit everybody in the class time, so here is the schedule for all my Sophomore students. My order was based on the order on the Roster. to be fair, Ithis time, I began with stuents who were at the end last time and finish with those who were first on line.

If you not happy with your placement, use Blog to trade your time with other students of mine. If you unable to come, make sure you let me know by e-mail, by Blog,  or by giving your time to somebody else. 

Check out Blog constantly this week. If you are late and next student is ready to go, you missed your spot. I don't have any more time. E-mail communication will not be available because I will spend time with all of you in the computer lab.

We are not going to meet in our regular classrooms, but at the computer lab on the 5th floor. You need to come a few min. before your appointed time, grab the computer and open your files (with activated fonts). You can show me your prints, pdf files or InDesign files—up to you.

Prepare a list of questions to save time. Next student has to have his computer ready and invite me to his place. Be respectful of my and other's time. I must know my schedule before Tuesday so that I wouldn't come in vain.

Hanging indents in InDesign

To create hanging indents in InDesign, go to Type>Story and then check 'Optical Margin Alignment' in the Story box and adjust the numbers as necessary.
